It could be a scene pulled from House of the Dragon, specifically from the newly released third season, but we are sailing toward San Juan de Gaztelugatxe from the port of Bermeo, aboard a ship decorated with the emblem of the Targaryen house.
This is the first leg of a voyage that will bring the universe of Game of Thrones to the Basque coast for a week.
HBO Max has prepared this exciting experience to mark the latest season of House of the Dragon, which unfolds in Westeros, the same world as Game of Thrones, only that it is about 200 years earlier. This thrilling tale of palace intrigue, epic battles, betrayal and conflicted loves, starring Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, and Matt Smith, has been gaining popularity since its 2022 premiere.
Its third season premiered in Spain on June 22, and the final episode will arrive this very Sunday. Those of us who have followed its development with excitement and who await its conclusion with a certain eagerness have been able to transport ourselves to Westeros for a few hours, though we are not yet sure whether this is to ease the wait or to whet our teeth (and claws) even more.
