Feels like yesterday… and we’re already at four editions! The Hotel&Mantel Awards of Condé Nast Traveler España return in 2026 with the excitement of continuing to pay homage to our favorite hotels… and to their table linens. We don’t know if we enjoy sleeping in a hotel more or having breakfast, lunch, dinner, calling the room service, nibbling between meals or by the poolside, a cocktail…
These awards, an original idea of Condé Nast Traveler España, are born from the premise that absolutely all finalist hotels and destinations (ten per category) have, at some point, been visited by our editorial team or by one of our collaborators. Because at Condé Nast Traveler we always do a check-in and never echo what others recount.
That journalistic rigor, with which, in 2027, we will celebrate our 20th anniversary in Spain, is the same standard we always apply to create our now-renowned recognitions: the Gold List, through which we select each year the world’s best hotels; the Hot List, through which we choose the best new hotel openings, also on a global level; and the Condé Nast Traveler Awards, the Spanish-market adaptation of the unbeatable Readers’ Choice Awards from CNT US and CNT UK, in which the audience (that is you) has the final say through its votes.
As for the matter at hand, the Hotel&Mantel Awards were, from the start, intended to give voice and vote to the CNT Spain editorial team — Aitana Moreno, María Ángeles Cano, Clara Laguna, María Casbas, Cynthia Martín, Juan Alberto Fuentes, David Moralejo, Eva Duncan, Virginia Buedo, Jorge Aguado — together with the contributors who know hotels best, those whom Condé Nast Traveler always places ahead of everyone, somewhere: Anabel Vázquez, Jesús Terrés, Cristina Fernández González, Silvia Ruiz de la Prada Sanchis, Brais Suárez González, Luisa Ricart, Alberto Piernas Medina, Sonia López, Lidia González, Clara Valles and Miguel Ángel Vicente de Vera, Sara Andrade, Marta Sahelices and Marina Vega.
Hotels and gastronomy, there is nothing closer to our hearts. And we will seal it with a dinner alongside the winners on the upcoming 4 November 2026.
