Are you planning a getaway to Barcelona? We have the perfect excuse: the new immersive (and permanent) experience by artist Salvador Dalí at Casa Amatller in Barcelona. DALÍ BOULEVARD CIBERNÉTICO is a proposal in which visitors will be able to discover the future imagined by Salvador Dalí from the perspective of an exceptional artist, capable of intuiting and foreshadowing the cultural and scientific trends of the twenty-first century.
The chosen venue couldn’t be better: Casa Amatller, located on Passeig de Gràcia, in the very heart of Barcelona. Why here? Simply because the artist always maintained a close relationship with this part of the city. It was on this avenue, specifically at the Dalmau Gallery, where Salvador Dalí held his first solo exhibition in November 1925. A century later, Passeig de Gràcia remains one of the great centers of Modernism, a movement Dalí deeply admired, with Gaudí at the helm, and one he defended when that style fell into disrepute.
In 1950, in an article for Vogue devoted specifically to Passeig de Gràcia, he described this avenue as a showcase of sensational examples of that architecture, described as “delirious” and as “authentic Debussy-like music turned solid.”
DALÍ BOULEVARD CIBERNÉTIC arrives at Casa Amatller in Barcelona with the objective of becoming a long-term and internationally oriented project, expanding in the coming years the experience started by Dalí Cibernético in 2022, which we already mentioned in Condé Nast Traveler. This immersive experience, created thanks to the collaboration between the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation and Layers of Reality has culminated a four-year journey. Since its inauguration at the IDEAL in Barcelona, in September 2022, the exhibition has toured cities around the world, such as London, Berlin, Copenhagen, Athens, Riyadh, Tel Aviv, Thessaloniki, Lisbon, Porto, Punta del Este, Bruges, Leipzig, Warsaw and Valencia. But now, it plans to stay in the city with the aim of integrating into the artist’s iconic route and offering a new perspective on the emblematic spaces of Figueres, Portlligat and Púbol.

What is Dalí Boulevard Cibernétic?
DALÍ BOULEVARD CIBERNÉTIC is a walk between dreams and technology, between fantasy and anticipation, between what was imagined in its day and what, over time, has become part of our present. True to its visionary spirit, Dalí dressed in an astronaut suit as a symbol of a future that seemed increasingly close at hand. A reproduction of the emblematic golden astronaut suit, designed in 1958, starts the journey of the exhibition where digital art, heritage objects, reproductions and nearly-unreleased audiovisual material merge in a suggestive and immersive scenographic environment.
