Jerte Valley Cherry Blossom Festival: Everything You Need to Know

5 May 2026

It is impossible to imagine what more than one and a half million cherry trees in bloom look like. That is why it is always best to verify it with our own eyes, and there is no better place for that than the Jer we Valley – declared a Site of Cultural Interest since 1973 –. This spring spectacle has long been not only its main attraction—but also a National Tourist Interest Festival—and this 2026, its fields will once again become white to host numerous activities related to the heritage of the region.

The Cherry Blossom Festival runs from March 20 to May 3, although the official inauguration of the blossoms will be on March 27 in the town of Tornavacas. While in some editions these dates did not coincide with the bloom due to weather instability, this year they have announced it clearly: The Jerte Valley is already in bloom, so the best time to visit it is now.
