Emily in Paris is heading toward its next destination. The filming of season 6 will commence in May, and the cast and crew will travel to Greece and Monaco, the new settings for this popular Netflix series. Here’s everything we know so far (and what we can imagine). Heads up, there are spoilers!
IN PREVIOUS CHAPTERS…
Emily in Paris follows the life of Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) as she leaves the United States, specifically Chicago, to move to Paris and join a luxury marketing firm. In seasons 4 and 5, Emily swapped the City of Light for Rome, where she was to launch a new branch of the company.
At the end of season 5, we saw Emily part ways with her romantic interest, Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), and receive a postcard from her former boyfriend, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), inviting her to Greece. Fans of Emily in Paris may recall that Gabriel left Paris to become a private chef aboard a yacht.
The best friend of Emily, Mindy (Ashley Park), was dating Emily’s ex, Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), but her on-and-off partner, Nico (Paul Forman), proposed during a romantic gondola ride in Venice, to which Mindy said yes. When Emily asked Mindy whether she still had feelings for Alfie, Mindy was unsure how to answer.
“At the end of the season, everything goes up in the air: Mindy will be engaged, but there remains unresolved tension with Alfie,” Lily Collins told Tudum. “It will be interesting to see how the drama unfolds.”

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?
Emily in Paris has been since its 2020 launch one of Netflix’s most-watched comedy-drama series. Season 5 opened with about 13.5 million viewers in its first week last year, and made the top 10 in 91 countries.
Netflix has yet to announce any other details about season 6, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on updates. While the exact filming locations have not been disclosed, we do know that Emily will get acquainted with the sparkling waters of the Aegean Sea. Considering the iconic places the show has chosen thus far—from the Eiffel Tower and the Pont Neuf in Paris to the Roman Forum and the Piazza di Spagna in Rome, it wouldn’t be surprising to witness a breathtaking sunset in Athens, with the sky blazing red and orange over the Parthenon. Yet there’s no doubt there will be coastline and beaches. Will we see her in front of the whitewashed villa façades on the volcanic hillsides of Santorini? Or enjoying luxury beach clubs filled with influencers in Mykonos? This wouldn’t surprise us at all, given the way the series explores fashion and the strategies of marketing on social media. Either way, one thing is clear: Emily is going to give us plenty of looks to inspire our packing for the next summer getaway to the Greek islands.
