The Bicester Collection, the global brand of which La Roca Village (in Barcelona) and Las Rozas Village (in Madrid) form part, has a long history of combining fashion, culture, art, and gastronomy. Now, moreover, they advocate something we also love at Condé Nast Traveler: print. Following their digital launch last June, their Local Pocket Guides and City Guides are now rolling out in print format at the Villages of The Bicester Collection, offering visitors a new way to discover the destinations surrounding each of these luxury shopping destinations.
The title of the collection is unequivocal: The Emotion of Discovering. Exploring the world through fashion, culture, and destination is its proposition around a selection of singular and authentic experiences near the twelve Villages of the Collection. This exclusive editorial proposition reinforces its positioning as a collection of luxury shopping destinations from around the world.
The idea crowns more than three decades of experience and connection with the destinations where their Villages are located, some of the world’s most attractive destinations. For the first time, this privileged local knowledge —which they have highlighted for years through authentic experiences that connect visitors with these places and their cultures— is shared with visitors from across the entire collection.
Each Village is located within an hour of some of the most iconic capitals in the world, such as London, Paris, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Brussels, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Dublin, New York, Shanghai and Suzhou. However, The Emotion of Discovering goes beyond geographic proximity to propose a deeper connection with these destinations, as well as with the rural surroundings that encircle them, oscillating between heritage, the shopping experience and cultural discovery.
Two formats to explore
The Local Pocket Guides are carefully designed two-day itineraries that connect the experience of each Village with its surrounding territory. They include recommendations for restaurants, galleries, workshops, local producers, and distinctive addresses, and are available in English and in the local language of each Village, and will be accessible both in printed form at the Villages and in digital format via a new online platform dedicated to destinations. The global edition of The Bicester Collection will also be available in Arabic and Chinese.
